The Ministry strongly agreed with the concerns of the Detmold Serengeti specialist and wildlife photographer Uwe Skrypczak. On this basis, Mrs Kopp has invited Mr Skrypczak to present his exhibition later this year in Berlin. "Reconciling the preservation of the Serengeti as a unique Natural World Heritage with the certain development of the region is a particularly definitive goal of the House", stated Mrs Kopp. It should be possible to see the exhibition in late autumn in the foyer of the Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation.

Due to a high level of interest, the Serengeti Photographic Exhibition will be extended until 18 June 2011 at the "Buchhaus am Markt" in Detmold. On Friday 17 June, at 19.30, before the closing of the exhibition, there will be a further information and discussion evening regarding the Serengeti. because of limited space, the bookshop requests that people make a seat reservation in good time.
